## The four currencies

| Currency | How you get it                                                | What it's for                                       |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| Gold | Daily claim, finishing a series, selling cards, melting dupes | Shop stuff, frames, buying off other people |
| Tickets | Daily quests, finishing a whole series | A guaranteed pull, and a chunk of the frame shop |
| Ink      | Voting, daily quests                                          | Upgrading a card's stars                            |
| Gems | Finishing a whole series, daily quests | The final push on a max star upgrade, on top of Ink |

Any time you're typing a currency into a command, like pricing something for sale, the bot understands its name or its emoji, and doesn't care about capitals either. So `%sell <card> 100 gold` and `%sell <card> 100 Gold` do the exact same thing.

Each currency shows up using the bot's own uploaded emoji, so it looks right in any server without needing that server to have a matching one.

Gold's the only one that comes with a guaranteed daily amount. The other three are all meant to be a bit harder to come by, which is a big part of why they're usually worth more than Gold when the bot's guessing what something's worth, see Card Valuation.

## Voting is real now

`%vote` links to Tome's pages on top.gg, discordbotlist.com, and discordlist.gg. The moment any of them actually registers your vote, it pays out 15 Ink automatically, no need to come back and claim anything, and no self-reporting. `%cooldowns` shows which site your last vote actually came through, handy if a vote doesn't seem to have paid out. top.gg doubles vote weight on weekends (Friday through Sunday, UTC), and that reward doubles right along with it. Votes are gated by each site's own cooldown, not something Tome tracks separately.

## Daily quests

On top of the daily/vote claims above, Tome hands out a fresh set of 4 quests every day, resetting at midnight UTC. Completing them is the main way to earn Tickets, and a real source of Gold, Ink, and Gems too. Run `%quests` to see today's list and claim anything you've finished.

Quests draw from a wide pool: claiming cards, spawning drops with a pull, melting duplicates, spending Gold in the shop, claiming a high-star card, claiming from a specific series, completing a trade, gifting a card, voting on any listed site, and listing a card on the marketplace. Which four you get, and what they ask for, is different every day. A harder target always pays better: the toughest quests can hand over an actual shop perk (Lucky Mushroom, Feast, Potion of Growth, and the rest, see Shop & Perks) instead of currency.

Don't like one of today's quests? You get 1 free reroll a day to swap it for something else (3 a day with Tome+, see below). Pick it from the reroll menu under `%quests`. A reroll only ever touches that one quest, your progress on the other three stays exactly where it was, and you can't reroll something you've already completed and claimed.

Weekends add one extra bonus slot to that same list. Complete it, then run `%weekendpull` (also `%wq`/`%weekend`) for a guaranteed 3-4 star pull wearing the exclusive, permanently locked 😴 Resting frame. Capped at a few pulls per weekend, one per hour.

## Tickets and the guaranteed pull

Tickets are spent on `%tickets pull` (a guaranteed high-star pull, with a small chance at Ascended) at 25 Tickets a pop, and on a chunk of the frame shop's cheaper tier, see Frames. Finishing off a whole series pays out 10 Tickets and 6 Gems in one go, on top of whatever quests already paid that day.

## Upgrading a card's stars

Got a card you like sitting at a lower star count? Spend Ink (and, for the very last step, Gems too) to bump it up one star at a time.

| Command                 | What it does                                                           |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `%upgrade <card id(s)>` | Raise a card's star quality by one level. Comma separated for multiple |

Costs step up steeply the higher you go, since a 5 star card is already worth far more than a 1 star one:

| Upgrade | Cost              |
| ------- | ----------------- |
| 1 → 2   | 15 Ink            |
| 2 → 3   | 35 Ink            |
| 3 → 4   | 70 Ink            |
| 4 → 5   | 120 Ink + 20 Gems |

That last jump is the only thing in the whole bot that actually spends Gems, so hang onto them if you're planning on maxing something out.

`%upgrade` tops out at 5 stars. There's no spending your way to 6, that tier is a pure random roll on a normal pull and nothing else, see Pulling & Claiming.

Want to upgrade a few cards in one go? Just list them all: `%upgrade 275, 274, 265-260` runs down the list and upgrades whatever it can afford, telling you about anything it couldn't (already maxed, or you ran out of currency partway through).

## Tome+

Tome+ is a small supporter tier. It raises a few free-tier limits (how big your wishlist can get, how many auto-tag rules you can have, how many active market listings/auctions you can run at once, how many daily quest rerolls you get) without touching anything that affects what a card actually rolls or upgrades as. You can also pick up currency packs the same way.

Reach out to the Tome team about getting Tome+ or a currency pack, and you'll get a one-time code back. Redeem it yourself with `/redeem <code>`, and check what you currently have with `/premium`. Boosting Tome's own official server also grants Tome+ automatically for as long as you keep boosting.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://studio0.gitbook.io/tome-docs/currencies-and-daily-rewards.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
